Randall is seeking a top-tier Construction Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting Department staff in our Apopka, FL headquarters.  We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.



Requirements

ACCOUNTING RESPONSBILITIES 

• Responsible for the accounting operations of the company as a direct report to the CFO

• Provide reporting and budgeting as required by Senior Management.

• Participate in the formation and implementation of company financial plans

• Preparation of all monthly financial reports

• Work with staff on monthly close-out procedures

• Manage company and project cash flow

• Communicate routinely with Project Managers, thought the Job Costing department, on a variety of job-related topics including bonding, insurance and contract agreements.

• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.

• Work with project management staff ensuring proper compliance with accounting procedures including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and reports monthly.

• Develop written accounting procedures for the operations staff and work with team to ensure proper implementation and compliance.

• Creating new accounting/operations procedures to prepare and manage rapidly growing entity and the evolving business structure.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key partners including banks, title companies, etc. that will support and grow the business,

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must be a strong and organized leader with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

Specific requirements include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or finance required

• 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Experience in job cost accounting and financial reporting

• 2 to 4 years on Construction Management or General Contracting or Subcontractor industry experience

Reporting to the A/R Manager, the A/R Clerk will be responsible for assigned accounts receivable and collection activities in the office to include preparation, review, and maintenance of records by performing the following duties...

  • Prepares and posts receipts to customer accounts on a daily basis.
  • Researches discrepancies and debit memos to accurately process, issue, and post credits/debits to customer accounts as necessary.
  • Maintains all records and files and backup documentation related to accounts receivable.
  • Prints, reviews and maintains an aging report on a weekly basis.
  • Initiates, tracks, and maintains all records/files associated with collection activities for each account to include negotiated payment schedules, telephone call documentation, and collection letters.
  • Maintains accurate customer information in database according to company procedures.
  • Researches and responds to all A/R inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Researches credit applications and documents pertinent credit information in accordance with company procedures.
  • Responds to incoming credit reference inquiries with pertinent credit information in accordance with company procedures.

  • Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reasons for non-payment

Opportunity Profile


Randall Fire Protection, specializing in fire sprinkler installation, renovation, inspections and service projects throughout Central Florida, is seeking Assistant Superintendent.


Must be highly organized and experienced in aboveground fire sprinkler system installation utilizing steel and CPVC piping systems.  Large project experience and/or overseeing multiple projects simultaneously is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee installation of aboveground fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, standpipe, and fire pumps.
  • Read and interpret drawings to ensure proper installation by field crews.
  • Knowledge and adherence to NFPA 13, 13R, 14 and 20.
  • Manage material and tool inventories.
  • Attend weekly job site progress and safety meetings.
  • Communicate with customers and Superintendent to help ensure proper labor scheduling, code compliance, change order reporting, etc.
  • Document and report any field changes for as-built drawings and change order processing.
  • Ensure job sites are clean and safe.
  • Ensure weekly toolbox safety meetings are being conducted by field foreman, retrieve paperwork for record keeping.

Requirements

Welding inspectors ensure that the work produced by welders meets specifications for quality and safety. Certification ensures that inspectors have the appropriate skills for determining the quality of welds. The inspector performs tests on welds to determine whether weld joints can handle stress.

Job Profile

The Construction Fleet Coordinator will maintain strict control over the location and function Randall’s vehicles and equipment. The coordinator will oversee and arrange licenses/permits, maintenance/repairs and job site allocation as required.

 

Job Skills

  • Oversee and schedule mechanic for maintenance of all equipment and repairs.
  • Inventory management of filters, fluids, essential parts, etc. for reducing inefficiency and achieve cost savings.
  • Schedule yard man for equipment cleaning.  Also dispatch as needed to take materials to projects, and other various tasks.
  • Track all company equipment and tools.  Collect broken equipment and remove from service, notify purchasing agent what is needed to replace, and what can be repaired.
  • Order and return rental equipment as required.  Track location of rental equipment as it is often moved from job to job.
  • Manage and negotiate with vendors for optimal cost and efficiency outcomes.
  • Materials inventory control.
  • Track company vehicles, licensing, registration.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis of rentals/leases/purchases.
  • Oversee GPS systems, Insurance documentation-management, gas-cards, etc.

 

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of FDOT and municipal standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of legal and contract compliance requirements.

Qualified candidates will have responsibilities, which will include, modeling the project in Revit, detailing shop tickets & hardware drawings for production, and producing erection drawings to build the structure along with other details using 3D BIM (Revit).   • Assist the Lead Estimator with an independent assessment of an estimate s accuracy (upon completion of the estimate and summarization of all detailed man-hours, material, construction and home office costs).
  • Coordinate the performance of pricing structure development and application to takeoffs, derived quantities, quantity assumption, and cost allowances.
  • Obtain and verify construction quotations for facilitation of construction projects, addenda s and contract changes.
  • Obtain and verify subcontractor questions for construction projects and ensures compliance with construction documents.
  • Compile and analyze bids. Must be able to understand and help develop Work Breakdown Structure Codes, Cost and Resource Loading.
  • Develop reports for all review processes.
  • Provide constructability reviews and guidance to the operations team to ensure the preliminary costs of the projects.
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop a network of relationships within the supply chain.
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontractors, and productivity analysis reports in order to continuously improve estimating accuracy.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 - 10+ years of relevant estimating experience including electrical experience.
  • Previous experience on heavy construction projects or industrial project, or with a large general contractor.
  • Possess a 4-year Construction Management, Engineering degree, or equivalent field experience in construction project environments.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline desirable.

Requirements

Reporting to the Fire Protection Design Manager, the Fire Protection Designer will be responsible to design and coordinate the fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial buildings as well as the finished representation for systems using drawings, drafting skills and tools. Manage the planning of a project including scheduling, creating material stock listing, analyzing changes, solving problems and total delivery of the project according to established criteria. Close coordination with all team members will be required throughout the life of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product
  • Sketch and perform mathematical computations to develop design and detailed specifications of components
  • Apply knowledge of mathematical formulas and physical laws and use conventional and computerized work aids to make calculations
  • Perform preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final master drawings, adequate for detailing parts and units of design for new proposals and current designs
  • Revise size, shape and arrangement of parts to create practical design drawings
  • Prepare acceptance test procedures and assembly instructions

Summary

     Reviews timecards for hourly employees to make sure there are no errors.

  • Responsible for overall direction, completion and financial outcome of projects.
  • Reviews jobs with estimator to help the bid process. Review and sign off on estimate prior to proposal completion.
  • Creates overall job schedule and issues schedule, work orders and budgets to the office and field.
  • Complete take-offs of plans and buy-out of subcontractors and vendors within budget, prior to start of project.
  • Tracks field production to evaluate crew performance and monitor costs.

  • 3-5 Years of Project Management experience in heavy, civil site construction.

Position Summary: The Sheet Metal Mechanic’s responsibility is the fabrication and installation of HVAC ductwork.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sheet metal mechanic field; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Must have all necessary tools
- Must be able read and understand blueprints
- Must be available to work assigned schedules and extended hours as needed

Job Description

Earth Trades Inc., specialized in civil / site development projects throughout Florida, is seeking a Construction Surveyor.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced surveyor to join our growing team. Looking for someone with construction layout and as-builds experience using 3D modeled surfaces, linework, and points. Knowledge of setting up GPS Base-stations for GPS graders per site as needed. Understand staking needs of infrastructure features (Storm/Sanitary structures, grading, finish floor elevations, etc.).  Conduct boundary topo’s as needed. Able to process all necessary calculations and generate reports, maps, etc. in order to help our clients in their engineering, construction, and/or development process.


Surveyor Duties and Responsibilities

·         Travel to job sites in a timely and responsible fashion

·         Honor all scheduling commitments and communicate any delays in a timely manner

·         Conduct all measurements needed to meet survey requirements with accuracy

·         Utilize and maintain all necessary equipment properly

·         Record all necessary data, ensuring accuracy and precision

·         Generate all required reports and documents, including plots and maps

·         Determine evidence of any previous boundaries via observation and research

·         Examine all previous survey records for important/helpful information for each job

·         Remain in compliance with all legal requirements and company guidelines

·         Communicate effectively and professionally with all parties involved

·         Strive for excellence, representing the company well at all times

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 4 YEARS EXP WITH CONSTRUCTION LAYOUT AND ASBUILT surveying
  • Basic computer skills, experience with different drafting software
  • KNOWLEDGE OF TRIMBLE & CARLSON GPS ROVERS AND DATA COLLECTORS and robotic total stations
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Precise and detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work outdoors in sometimes physically demanding conditions
  • Ability to lift and transport 25 lbs on a regular basis
  • Capable of reading and comprehending schematics and blueprints
